Replace those old footstrap covers

Due to unprecedented demand, I am making replacement footstrap covers available for purchase. NOTE THESE ARE COVERS ONLY

I have experimented with a variety of designs and construction techniques see below. Prices are to cover my costs only.

These are custom made (although I usually have some stock on hand) and wait time can vary depending on what I have available.

I also recommend you consider Official Retro Mistral , Fanatic or Unifiber staps and covers (which include the inner webbing) available from https://www.mistral.com/windsurfing-retroline-footstraps-red

Note I am NOT a business, and only started making these because I couldnt purchase the the Retro Red Mistral ones where I live and I wanted colors other than basic black. The Logo Neoprene ones are non OEM that came with the boards.

Classic Blue/Red and Pink/Red do not have logos and come from designs commonly seen on Australian and European boards in the 80's although I designed these to fit my boards. Please contact me via email for your needs.

Classic Style (Blue)

I love these tough classic looking covers on my early/mid 80's boards. They are NOT branded to any particular board and follow a similar design as used by many different board makers in the 80's. I measured these up specifically for my boards but will most likely fit on your 80's boards. These were used on some classic Australian brands in the 80's as well as overseas brands.

Material : Cordura 1000D Nylon and Velcro

Length : 22.5 - 23cm

Width : Folded - 6.5cm Expanded - 14cm

Fitment : These just wrap around your existing footstrap webbing cores

Construction Notes :

Body : Two layers of Cordura are used with a thin inner foam type core (2/3 mm) .

Attachment : The Loop end of the velcro is single stitched all the way around. The Hook end is double stitched ON ONE SIDE ONLY. I have found these to be pretty tough (no rips or tears over 2 years) However I wouldnt be pulling them on and off by pulling the 'Hook' end of the velcro every session if you want them to last. I put mine on (day one) took the board out, adjusted them and have never touched them again - except using them of course

These are the latest design. Just like in the tradition Blue/Red. They are NOT branded to any particular board and follow a similar design as used by many different board makers in the 80's. I measured these up specifically for my boards but are likely to fit on your 80's / 90's boards. These were used on some classic Australian brands in the 80's as well as overseas brands.

These are a brand new 'batch' so I havent actually tested them myself, but they are made by the same person (using the same design specifications) as the Blue/Red ones. I would suggest you take care of them in the same way as I suggest you look after the Blue/Red ones.

Here are some true unicorns.... aftermarket Footstrap (covers only) Im not sure where these originally came from - I picked then up as part of an estate sale.They have not been used. If you want dimensions please email me. They have holes in the underside for the footstrap screws to go through and have Velcro to make them easy to adjust on the water. Re-Imagined TakeOff

The 1982 Mistral TakeOff is my favourite board of all time but has a slightly different footstrap requirement. Just like the footstraps above, the "Re-imagined" Neoprene" straps came with my boards. The straps look slightly shorter than what you might expect but that is a deliberate design to allow easy of adjustment. Even If I could purchase the Official red Mistral Retro footstraps they are the wrong design for the TakeOff. Im am going to be able to copy this idea and make them available with your logo.
