TC Beacher
TC Beacher
2025 - Steve from Victoria - sailing the original TC Beacher at Blairgowrie in Victoria Australia. This is a classic longboard and was fitted with the original sail and tie on boom. This is the kind of board that made windsurfing so popular in the 80's because everybody could try it. There were many boards like the TC Beacher such as the original Windsurfer and the Wayler. There boards were affordable, easy to set-up and family friendly. You could sail these boards in 3 knots or 15-20 knots and have fun.
Classic second generation Mistral Malibu with a beautiful 6.0 FB Bic sail.
Juan is putting this classic rig through its paces in Calpe Spain... what a beautiful place to sail.
For those of you wondering about what classic sailboarding has to offer....Just watch this video.
Thanks Juan for providing this...looking forward to many more
Juan tearing it up again in beautiful Calpe on his New Malibu, this time with a Neil Pryde 5.0
Side note: (at end of video) : Juan lost his daggerboard half way through the session and found it later 1km up the beach - The water gods must be watching
The second generation (1987) Mistral Competition TCS is featured here. The 1987 looked very similar to the first generation 1986 version except with some minor updates to the graphics. Here Juan is enjoying the Spanish afternoon in Cape on his board.Â
Here is Juan with his son on the 1987 Mistral Competition. I think this video captures everything good about windsurfing and one of the reasons why these old boards are so great. Very family friendly in every respect and just as much fun today as they were 40 years ago.
Double thumbs up Juan !
This Classic 1984 Mistral Garda just found a new home (in 2025) with Dennis in France. Board looks in fantastic condition and Im told even the nose rubber had been found. Very excited to see this board on the water. The Mistral sail looks hardly used and the fin and universal joint are all original. nice pick-up Dennis
